Dark and complex, our Red Lot #7 is a blend of classic Southern Rhone varietals centered on the back bone of the lesser-known Rhone Durif. Black pepper, molasses and meaty black fruit on the nose belie a wine surprisingly light on its toes. Flavors of dark fruit and sweet molasses open up to black cherry and nuances of cola. Spicy, soft tannins and moderate acidity provoke repeat sipping. Great at a summer barbecue with smoky meats, try also with charcuterie.
